Chapter Member of the Year -- 2006

Brad
Johnsotn and Minnie MouseBrad Johnston was born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota but decided shortly after high school that he was ready for something new and moved to Minnesota where he has lived over the last seven years.

Brad wasn't aware of his passion of Disney until his first trip to Walt Disney World in 2002 when his parents invited him and his brother along with them that November. Since then, he's been back there once every year since, with the exception of 2004 when he became a father for the first time and in 2006 when he visited twice (so far)! He did visit Disneyland with his family in 1986 but was too young to remember much and feels as though he needs to return soon for a refresher.

His interest is mostly in Walt himself along with the history of the Disney company. His wife Brandy is also a Disney fanatic along with daughter Katie who always talks about wanting to ride on Dumbo, see the castle, and go back to Mickey's house. His 10 month old son Kieran (Keer-an) is currently in training and has a nice sized collection of Disney outfits.

Brad is the newest member of the NFFC chapter in Minnesota. He found out about the NFFC through the Mouse Tunes podcast and then contacted the Star of the North, his local chapter, and quickly got involved. He volunteered to re-design the web site at the April meeting and was 99% complete by the May meeting. During that last meeting, a domain was chosen - mnmousefans.org and then the site was finished. In addition to web design, Brad also enjoys still photography with his daughter and son being his favorite subjects.

Brad and family hopes to move to the central Florida area in the next three years when his wife finishes her MBA. They can't think of anything better in life than to go to Walt Disney World whenever they choose.
