April 9 Meet -- "Disney's WWII Military logos"

During WW II, when the challenges of producing films of any kind were at a zenith, Disney Studios did a remarkable thing. They began the task of producing more than 1,100 unique military "crests" for the fighting and home front units of the American Military.

Dozens of these will be on display for you in April. Join us for an overview of just how comprehensive Disney's support of the War Effort became, from selling War Bonds to training films to educating the public about the advantages of synthetic rubber. More information and directions to follow.

Sam Grabarski will present.
