July 2005 NFFC Convention pictures We had a LARGE contingent of members from our Star of the North Group going to the July, 2005 NFFC convention this year.

MARVIN BROZ REPORTING -- Both the NFFC Convention and the 50 Years of Magical Memories Event were great, and I am glad I attended both of them. But it seems like there was never enough time to be in the park! The Fireworks show was WONDERFUL, and all of the NFFC people got to ride Space Mountain on a VIP Fass Pass, which means we got in even faster than the regular Fass Pass Line. The new Space Mountain is great, even though I am not a big Roller Coaster Fan. Before, I could basically tell where the turns were coming (Even in the dark), but now, although the ride seems a lot smoother, with the lighting effects, it was almost impossible to tell where the turns were coming! At the 50 Years of Magical Memories Event, they put on a great show. There were even four Mouseketeers there (Bobby/Sharon/Cheryl/Lonnie), and they made comment that the 50th Anniversary of the Mickey Mouse Club is on October 3rd, and there will be some kind of celebration of some sort. They haven't announced yet whether it will be an Event, or a special show in the park, or whatever, but it should be fun! The only complaint I had about the event was Shipping Costs were outrageous, but everyone seemed to be complaining about that. The day of the 50th Anniversary, we got in line to get into the park at 5:45 in the morning, and they had a massive line winding all around California Adventure. Once we finally got in the park at around 8AM, it was a zoo! But it is fun to be able to say I was there on the 50th Anniversary! :)
