Nov 5, 2005 Meeting -- "Chicken Little!"A special movie premiere meeting. We're all going to downtown Minneapolis for a private showing of "Chicken Little!" The meeting and showing will be at the Block E entertainment complex movie theaters. Be there by 10am Saturday. The cost is very nominal. $5 per person at the door. Here are the details for Saturday, November 5, to enjoy our own PRIVATE SHOWING OF CHICKEN LITTLE. (1) Leslie Kennedy and I would like you to make your way to the Crown Theatre Box office BEFORE 10:00 AM on Saturday so we may greet you and get you to your seats for a short Star of The North chapter meeting. (2) I will treat you to a nice assortment of Starbucks coffee and pastries (YUMMMMM) which will be served on a table outside our assigned theater. Those will be there before 10 AM (as should you!!). (3) BUT, the concession stand will open early for you so popcorn and goodies can be yours if you want to buy them. (4) Crown Theater is on the skyway level of Block E, an entertainment complex, that is surrounded by 6th and 7th Streets (North) and Hennepin and First Avenues. In beautiful downtown Minneapolis. (5) Park in the Block E Ramp, which you enter on 7th Street North (a one way street that runs the width of downtown). If you use the Hiawatha Corridor into downtown, this becomes 7th Street. Go to the elevators and push TWO (SKYWAY). Turn left, and you will find us. (6) Your Chicken Little ticket stub will get you a discount when you leave the parking ramp after the movie and/or lunch. The discount will mean less if you make an afternoon of it, but so what, if you are having a good time. (7) Please be prepared to pay $5 each to watch Chicken Little. NO LIMIT on the number of guests you want to bring. (I might run out of coffee). (8) The movie will begin about 10:30 AM when Leslie Kennedy says ROLL IT. (9) About Noon, following the movie, you will have three choices--- Choice One: Do anything you want without us. Stay, go home, move to Nebraska; whatever.... Choice Two: Have lunch at Applebee’s in Block E, a few short paces from the Crown ticket counter. We can all sit near each other and order from the menu, they know to expect us. BUT HOW MANY OF US? Choice Three: GameWorks is hosting the annual ACES event (athletes who support education, from about noon to 4 PM) and for $25 you can eat (big spread) and play games (worth much more than $25) and get autographs (filled with sports stars) and have fun (priceless). If I knew how many of you wanted to do this, GameWorks would reserve a little area for you. They are SORRY to not be able to host us as a private party for our Chicken Little showing.
